I weave by hand. I develop woven textures and patterns in various yarns to make beautiful and intriguing fabrics.
Inspiration for my fabrics comes from many sources: the waves on the sea, ripples on a stream, the pattern of fallen leaves in autumn.
My fabrics can convey different moods: stimulating, calm and restful, or just a neutral background.
What I find magical is the way a plain regular pattern can be transformed into a unique texture or pattern by the use of different colour yarns and weaving techniques.
For me this magic all starts with yarn.
There is so much variety and interest in all of those, so many different behaviours and feelings.
I believe fabric is not just a visual experience.
It is also made to be felt and touched.
